Good Morning Blue Team,

This is an exciting day for all of us.  I know I am excited about this beautiful building and all it has to offer to all of the staff and students.  You will be the first class that spends all 4 years of high school here at the new South and I hope you all take advantage of all the opportunities that you will have.

If at all possible I would strongly recommend getting a scientific calculator, Ocean State Job Lot has them for $4.

This week we will be spending the first class going over class expectations and grading policies, also just getting to know each other a little bit before we really get into all the fun math starting next week.

Enjoy your first couple of days and I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Good Morning Blue Team,

Geometry- You will be starting your final project this week as well as continuing with the normal curriculum.  You will be finishing up with Parallelograms and moving on to circles.

Algebra 1 - We have quite a bit of information to cover in the next month and a half to get you all prepared for your exam.  We will continue working with radicals for the next 2 weeks or so.

Hello Blue Team

Geometry - Trig problem solving due tomorrow.  Quiz on angle of elevation on Monday.  We will be learning the Law of Sines after the quiz.

Alg 1 cp1- We will continue with Quadratic Word Problems tomorrow, working towards  your projects next week.

Alg 1 cp2- We will be continuing with Quadratics for the next 2 weeks, you will love them when we are done.

Good Morning Blue Team,

Algebra 1 cp1- We are in the midst of all kinds of fun things with Quadratic Equations.  We will be working on them for another week and a half or so.  You will be having a quiz on solving by factoring and using quadratic formula on monday.

Algebra 1 cp2- We will also be working on Quadratics for the next couple of weeks, this stuff can be tough so please come to math lab

Geometry- We will be learning to solve special right triangles and getting into some trigonometry, this is the good stuff

Good Afternoon Blue Team,

Alg 1 cp1 and cp2- We have been factoring for the past week and we will be for the next 2 weeks.  This has gone well so far but we are starting to get into the more difficult concepts of factoring now.  If you need help please stay for extra help or come to math lab

Geometry- Everything has been going great in class to start the 3rd quarter.  We will continue to be working on properties of triangles and getting into trigonometry before vacation.  Keep up the great work.

If you need extra help before exams, you need to let me know.  I will be at Math Lab tomorrow and Friday.  If you are unsure of yourself on anything at all, please see me tomorrow at math lab or comm block, thursday at comm block or after school, or friday at comm block or Math Lab.  Ask questions in class tomorrow or thursday, I can't help if you don't tell me what you need help with.

Its the last week before vacation.  Lets keep it together for a couple more days and then you get some time off.

Alg 1cp1- We will be continuing with Scientific Notation and having a quiz on Thurs.

Alg 1 cp2- We will be working on percent of change and having a quiz on Wed.

Geometry- We will be having a chapter 5 test on Wednesday.
